Ronnie Gibson

Ronnie Gibson, age 65, of Pineville, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on April 20, 1954, the son of the late Ray Field Gibson and Sarah Jane Daniels Gibson.

Ronnie was a member of the Salem #2 Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and was always willing to serve him. Growing up, he attended Harmony Elementary School and was a 1972 graduate of Bell County High School. He also graduated in 1979 from Samford University with a doctorate pharmacy degree. He loved to read and was a huge sy-fy movie fan. He was always witty, humorous and could put a smile on everyone’s face.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Willie Birch Gibson.

He is survived by his children, Laurie (Brent) Hudson, Miranda (Brian) Beam and Joshua (Maria) Gibson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Alcorn, Katelyn Ramey, Luke Hudson, Jonas Beam and Gavin Beam; siblings, Pastor Bill Gibson, Doris Simpson, Iva Stewart, Jerlis Napier and Teresa Saylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Kelley Partin presiding. Pallbearers will be Josh Gibson, Joe Napier, Steve Partin, Jeffery Alcorn, Cole Hoskins and Lane Hoskins. Music will be provided by Mack Partin and Misti Hoskins.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Gibson Family Cemetery in Pineville, KY.
