William Jody Martin, age 53, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2022 at his home. Jody was born on November 20, 1968 in Middlesboro, Kentucky where he lived until the time of his death.
He graduated from Bell County High School. Jody loved sports, especially Bell County Football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his Kentucky Wildcats! A TRUE BLUE fan!
He was a believer in the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, Delbert and Wilma Martin, Jody is preceded in death by his brother, John Martin; uncles, Mike Estes, Jim Estes and Kenneth Estes; grandmother, Virgie Raines; and step-grandma Marie Estes.
Jody is survived by his loving wife Amy Boggs Martin; daughter, Nikki (Cody) Carpenter; son, William “Trey” Martin; sister, Michelle Martin Howard; half-siblings, April, Lee, Josh, and Brandi Roark; grandchildren, Macy and Benson Carpenter; aunt, Linda (Elmer) Sandifer; aunt and uncle, Nancy and Danny Estes; special friend, who was more like a brother, even though he is a Dallas Cowboys fan, Albert Overton; special friends, Carlos Bowling and Steve Mason; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, from 11 am to 1 pm with the funeral service immediately following at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Martin Cemetery, Beans Fork Road on Martin Lane following the funeral service.
