William Hensley, Jr.

William S. Hensley Jr, age 92, of Ocala, FL went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at the Legacy House, Hospice in Ocala, FL. He was born on February 15, 1927 up on Brush Mountain in the Hensley Settlement. He was the son of William Sherman Hensley Sr. and and Nicy Ann Hensley. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He loved to go to Meadowbrook Church in Ocala, FL and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving first wife Rhoda R. Hensley, and his 18 siblings that were also born and raised on Brush Mountain in the Cumberland Mountain range.

He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara Hensley and her 6 children and extended family; his 2 daughters, Taheia Hensley of Ocala, FL and Patricia (Tony) Cizio of Lincoln Park, MI; 3 grandchildren Kim (Dan) Vasquez of Camp Wood, TX, Bill (Tina) Feltner of Taylor, MI and Lisa (John) Cleaver of Melvindale, MI ; 6 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday May 21st at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 22nd at 11 a.m. at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ron Oplinger presiding. Interment will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Middlesboro Kentucky.
