Vicki Evans

Vicki Lynne Carter Evans, age 72, of Middlesboro, KY, left for her Heavenly home, on Saturday, August 28, 2021. She was born in Middlesboro, on November 30, 1948, to the late Helen and Ben Carter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Susie Carter; her nephew, Adam Hickman, and brother-in-law, Boyd Fuson.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Julie (Stan) Iliff of New Tazewell, TN and Timothy Evans, of Middlesboro, KY

Grandchildren, Victoria Nicole “Nikki” Rains of Middlesboro, KY and William Brandon (Chasity) Rains of Stoney Fork, KY

Great-grandchildren, Morgan Nicole Lawson, Jenna Lynne Baker, Annabelle Faith Rains and William Hunter Rains

Sisters, Sherry Fuson (Gary Stone) of Morristown, TN, Judy Carter (David Dotson) of Gate City, VA, and Debbie (Jimmie) England of Middlesboro, KY

Brother, Donnie (Missy) Carter, of Middlesboro, KY

And a host of other family members and friends.

Vicki loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved tending to her numerous flower gardens and planting her small vegetable garden each Spring. She enjoyed rising with the sun and sitting outside looking at her flowers and listening to the birds sing.

The family of Vicki Lynne Carter Evans will receive friends at Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Travis Thompson and Pastor Todd Fuson officiating. Following the service, interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY.

Pallbearers will be her son, Tim Evans, grandson, Brandon Rains, nephews, Jeff Fuson, Bryan Carter, Jason Bean, Joseph Bean, and family friend, Kaden Broadhuhn.
