Vernon Bruce

Vernon Eugene Bruce, age 39, of Happy Hollow, Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, peacefully at his home.   He was born October 12, 1982, the son of Cora Garrett and Felix Edward Bruce.

His greatest joy was his love for his family.  He was a good hearted, out going man, who would help anyone anytime.  He loved playing the drums in church, as well as hunting and fishing.  He was loved so much by all his family and will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Noah and Clara Vernon of Derby, VA and Frank and Louise Bruce of Cawood, KY; sons, Donavin Leavens and Felix David Bruce; Parents, Cora Garrett and Felix Edward Bruce; sister, Cynthia Nelson, brothers, Felix Lee Bruce and Ishmael Lamen Bruce; nephews, Noah Taylor and Gabriel Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Per the request of the family, all services were private.
