Sylvia Taylor Green

Sylvia Taylor Green, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024 in Morrow, Ohio, at the age of 87. She was born on December 29, 1936 to the late Floyd and Ada Duncan Taylor in Bell County, Kentucky.

She united in marriage to Walter Green on January 21, 1956 in Claiborne County, Tennessee. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2012.

Sylvia is survived by her loving children, Kathy Green Buchanan, Stephen Green and his wife, Cindy, and Signe Green Collins. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Walter Buchanan (Emily), Michael Green (Crystal), Jessie Collins Rowe (Caleb) and Joey Collins; and seven great grandchildren: William Buchanan, Elyse Buchanan, Frankie Green, Charlie Green, Harvey Green, Lucy Green, and Parker Rowe. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Taylor Grant and several special nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, also preceding her in death were four brothers, Charles Taylor, James Taylor, Floyd Taylor, Jesse Taylor; sister, Pansy Taylor and son-in-law, William Buchanan.

Private services will be held and provided by Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
