Shelva Marsee, Sr.

Shelva Neal Marsee, Sr., age 78 of Middlesboro, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2020.  He was born April 5, 1942, the son of the late Sullivan and Mary Minton Marsee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Marsee, Bob Marsee and Floyd (Connie) Marsee; and his sisters, Edna (John) Maiden and Phyllis (Raymond) Douglas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen Marsee

Son, Neal (Emma) Marsee

Grand-daughter, Brittany (Aaron) Ellis

Great Grand-daughter, Lily Mae Ellis

Brothers, Phillip (Barbara) Marsee and Richard (Dana) Marsee

As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Shelva was a member of the Hensley Chapel Baptist Church and an employee of the A&P Food Store in Middlesboro, KY for 38 years.

Shelva loved to hunt and fish with his long-time friend, Jack Skidmore, who we know was waiting for him as he entered the gates of heaven.

He cherished every moment he could spend with the lights of his life, his Grand-Daughter Brittany Ellis and his Great Grand-Daughter Lily Mae Ellis who loving referred to him as Pap.

A graveside service will be held in Shelva’s honor at the Marsee Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Aaron Ellis presiding.
