Royice Ealy

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Royice Ealy of Calvin, Kentucky, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at her home. Royice was born in Pineville, Kentucky, on March 6, 1962, the daughter of Homer Lee and Lilian Hensley Hampton.

Royice retired in March 2024, from First State Bank after 38 years of dedicated service. She deeply missed her customers and coworkers, many of whom became dear friends over the years. Royice loved working in her house and gardening, crafting, spending time with her family, and traveling. She was always thoughtful and generous, doing special things for those she loved. Her kind spirit, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Royice is preceded in death by her beloved son, Justin Dearl Ealy; her sister, Eudena Hampton Willis; and her nephew, Aaron Willis; as well as three aunts and an uncle.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jimmy Ealy; nephew, Nathaniel Willis (Anna); niece, Abby Willis (Clayton); aunt, Wandalene Miracle (Condy); aunt, Betty Mize (Clinton); and cousins, Myra Miracle (Joe), Leketta Nantz (Tim), Tonya Spurlock (Kenny), Susan Partin (David), Connie Hunley (Brian), and Tim Brock (Susan); along with many other cherished family members and friends who will deeply mourn her passing.

She is also survived by her special friends, Valerie Redman, Peggy Gibson, Phyllis White, Rossi Baker, and Ella Rowlett.

The family of Royice Ealy will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, Kentucky, with funeral services to follow at 7:00 p.m. with James Roark and Charlie Napier presiding. 

Family and friends of Royice Ealy will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Cawood Funeral Home to travel in procession to Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, Kentucky where graveside services will be held. 

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Willis, Noah Brock, Brian Ealy, Johnny Cameron, Robbie Cameron, and Michael Ealy.
