Rosie Givens

Rosie Givens age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Middlesboro, KY.  She was born February 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Harvey and Julie Givens of Meldrum, KY.

Ms. Givens was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Givens, Walter Givens, Roy Givens and Cecil Givens; sisters, Berthie Shelton and Maude Hurst, both of Middlesboro, KY.

Ms. Givens is survived by her sons, Bruce (Mary) Nunn of Pineville, KY, Roy (Jeannie) Nunn of Fort Wayne, IN and John Nunn of Pineville, KY; daughters, Margaret (Jay) Sampson of Colmar, KY and Carolyn (Ben) Sutton of Harrogate, TN; and sister, Goldie Spencer of Middlesboro, KY.   She was also loved by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Eddie Barker and Rev. Mickey Jones of West Pineville Baptist Church, will be officiating.  Music will be provided by Thomasa Risner.  Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral in at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Nunn, Bruce Nunn, Jr., John Nunn, Roy Nunn, Stacy Hacker and Devin Hacker.
