Ronnie Earl Partin “Squirrel”, age 73, of Pineville, KY, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehab Facility in Middleboro, KY. He was born September 30, 1951, the son of the late James Leonard Partin and Gladys Frances Partin.
Ronnie dedicated his work life to Pine Mountain State Resort Park, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to serving others in his community. After thirty years, he retired from Pine Mountain State Resort Park.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ronnie was a passionate outdoorsman who cherished every moment spent fishing, hunting, and riding through the beautiful mountains on his four-wheeler. However, the greatest joy in his life came from the time he spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren, Allie Partin and Peyton Smith, who were the light of his life.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers, James Carl Partin, Henry Cecil Partin, Charles Edger Partin and M.M. Partin; and sisters, Dorothy Marie Partin, Sarah Edna Schwartz and Hester Carol Partin.
He is survived by his companion of 36 years, Janice Parks; daughter, Tasha (Todd) Smith; grandchildren, Allie Partin and Peyton Smith; sister, Ruth Elizabeth Herrell; brothers, Billy R. Partin and Roy Luster Partin; as well as many other beloved family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family of Ronnie Earl Partin “Squirrel” will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Chenoa Missionary Baptist Church, Pineville, KY. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Ken Kishpaugh and Reverend Jerry Fuson presiding. Music will be provided by the Chenoa Missionary Baptist Church Singers.
Graveside services for Ronnie will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Richard Partin Cemetery in Frakes, KY. Pallbearers will be Billy Partin, Todd Smith, Wayne Tolliver, David Partin, Manual Partin and Billy Maiden.
