Roger Keith Littrell, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Ewing, Virginia on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Roger was born on August 26, 1950, in Middlesboro, KY, to Hubert and Ressie Seals Littrell.
Roger was a loving husband, dedicated father, treasured papaw and a friend to many. Roger was a retired school bus driver for Lee County Public Schools. He drove the bus for 32 years. Roger loved farming, cattle, and spending time with his grandson, Bentley.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ressie Littrell; his brothers, Daniel Littrell, Kyle Littrell, Quintin Littrell, Chester Littrell, Coleman Littrell and R.V. Littrell.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorothy Martin Littrell; his daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Goforth; and his grandson, the light of his life, Bentley Goforth. He is also survived by his sisters, Polly (Jack) Enix and Linda (Wayne) Mayes; and his special little dog, Jazz.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Caris Hospice, Dr. Adam Yeary, Elizabeth Larew, and Harrogate Family Medical Clinic. Also, thank you to all the nurses and staff that assisted in his care during his final moments.
The family of Roger Littrell will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.
Graveside services will follow at the Littrell Family Cemetery in Ewing, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Bentley Goforth, Jason Goforth, Eric Estep, Walter Littrell, Tracy Snodgrass, and Jay Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Littrell, Michael Littrell, Chris Mayes, Ken Marcum, Johnny Janeway, Bob Yates, Carson Hounshell and Danny Goforth.
