Robert Robbins

Robert L. Robbins, 89, of Harrogate, TN, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the Tri State Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

He was born February 8, 1931 in Place, KY, the son of the late Gale W. and Anne Pope Robbins.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served his country in the Korean War.  He retired to Harrogate, TN, after working for 30 years for General Motors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters: James C. Robbins, Charles E. Robbins, William A. Robbins, Sr., Gladys Hobbs Hopkins, Theo Carver, Lola M. Campbell, Juanita Miracle and Virginia Lee Miracle.

Survivors include a special sister-in-law: Cleta Robbins

And a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Tingle presiding.  A eulogy will be given by his nephew, Robert Lee.

Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with his nephews serving as pallbearers. Full military honors will be provided by the Jellico American Legion Honor Guard.

The Robbins Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Cawood Funeral Home.
