Rev. Johnny Parks

Rev. Johnny Steven Parks age 71, of Frakes, Kentucky, passed away suddenly, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Middlesboro ARH Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on February 13, 1952, to the late Bill and Hazel Parks of Fonde, Kentucky.

Johnny was the pastor at Tiprell Full Gospel Community Church, Cumberland Gap, Tennessee.  He dedicated his life to the Lord’s ministry and cherished his family, who he loved and adored, especially his grandchildren. They were his life.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers Jerry Parks and Allen Parks, and one sister, Debbie Marcum.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Jean Parks; daughter, Lisa (Ernie) Hill; son, John Parks; grandchildren, Jonathan Parks and Sara Parks; and sister, Shonda (George) Lay.

The family of Rev. Johnny Steven Parks will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home chapel, Middlesboro, Kentucky.  Funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Dewayne Hatfield and David Gilpin presiding.  Family and friends will follow in procession to the Fonde Church of God Cemetery, Fonde, Kentucky where graveside services will be held.

Pallbearers will be John Parks, Jonathan Parks, George Lay, Bobby Lay, Trace Dixon, Hunter Marlow and Billy Parks.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ernie Hill.
