Aloysius Raymond "Ray" Jacobs, age 80, of Ottawa, IL, formerly from Louisville, KY, went home to his Lord and Savior on January 14, 2025. Ray was born September 19, 1944, the son of the late Aloysius R. and Zedith (Hendricks) Jacobs.
He was a long standing member of the Harvest Baptist Church of Ottawa, IL.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma (Hurst) Jacobs; and sisters, Anita (Jacobs) McGinnis and Sandy (Jacobs) Butts.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Jacobs of Marseilles, IL, and Ian Jacobs and wife Valerie of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Sarah, Danielle, Ainsley, Ian Jr., Esme, and Gavin; and great granddaughter, Avani.
The family of Ray Jacobs will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Robinson presiding.
Graveside services will immediately follow in the Sunnyview Lambdin Cemetery in Frakes, KY. Pallbearers will be Ian Jacobs, Jr., others will be announced as soon as they become available.
