Peggy Cox

Peggy Jewel Cox age 81 of Pineville, KY passed away in the Pineville Community Healthcare on January 10, 2021.  She was born September 3, 1939 to the late Clifford Hurst and Nelia Miracle Hurst.  Peggy was a member of the Old Cannon Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Neal Cox, two brothers: Gary Hurst and Jim Hurst.

Peggy is survived by her sons:  Cedric Cox and Frankie Cox; one grandson Shawn Cox and one great granddaughter Allie Cox. Three brothers:  Clifford Hurst, Jr., Wade Hurst and Phillip Hurst.  One special Sister-in-law: Joyce Baker and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cawood Funeral Home, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 8:00pm in the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David King officiating.  Music will be provided by Shiloh Worship Team.  Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 12 noon in the Hurst Cemetery at Page Cutoff, Pineville, Ky.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.

All mandated Covid-19 regulations, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.
