Paul Lambdin

September 21, 1927 — August 27, 2019

Paul Lambdin EOC, age 91, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was born on September 1, 1927 in Pruden, Kentucky to Wess and Laura (Lawson) Lambdin. He married Helen Marie Long on March 10, 1949 and was her helpmate and best friend for 69 years.

Paul served his country in the US Navy. He was a Korean War Veteran and member of Seabee Battalion 6; the crew that built the first road in Antarctica. After 20 years in the military, he returned to Middlesboro and began work with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. After retirement, he enjoyed summers on the golf course and spending time with his grandchildren. He spent the winters in Florida with his wife Mom-re where he fished every day and enjoyed the warm weather.

Paul was preceded in death by his helpmate of 69 years, Helen Marie Lambdin; son, James “Chuck” Lambdin; parents, Wess and Laura (Lawson) Lambdin; siblings, Henry Lambdin, Grace Redmond, Rose Kovenich and Iva Whithead.

He is survived by his sisters, Cassie Billingsley and Hattie Beach; children, Paula (Larry) Adams and David Lambdin; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family sends a special thanks to caregivers, Sharon Fugate, Deloris Williams, Anita Hunter and Teresa Simpson.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Middlesboro, KY.
