Opal Hensley

Opal Hensley age 98 of Beechgrove, Tennessee passed from this life into Heaven on Feb 10, 2021. She was born in Alva, Ky Sept 17,1922. She was the daughter of George W. Hensley and Charolette (Wilson) Hensley. She was the wife of Hamp Hensley who preceded her in death. Two of her children also preceded her in death, Jack Hensley and Billy Sam Hensley.

She was a member of the Hensley Chapel Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky.

She enjoyed homemaking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and cooking for family and friends. She loved everyone and her laughter was contagious. She loved flowers and was known to have a green thumb.

She gave away many starter cuttings of flowers and plants over the years and they are no doubt still being enjoyed.

She is survived by three children; Frank Hensley (Karen) of Dyer Indiana, Herman Hensley (Carolyn) of Beech Island, South Carolina, and Connie Clark (Jeff) of Beechgrove, Tennessee; six grandchildren David Hensley, Marian Hensley, Matthew Hensley, Kristen Hensley, Gregory Clark and Joseph Clark; 5 great grandchildren Sterling Hensley, Cassandra Harley, Jackson Hensley, Benjamin Hensley and Trey Armstrong.

The family will have a private ceremony at graveside.
