Maureen Tramell

Maureen Tramell, age 81, of Middlesboro, KY passed away on Thursday September 9, 2021 at Middlesboro ARH Hospital. She was born June 17, 1940 in Black Diamond, TN, the daughter of the late Wesley and Cleda Petrey.

She was a longtime member of The Way of Holiness Church of God in Clairfield, TN.  She was a great mother, sister, and grandmother.  She always had a smile on her face and always loved everybody. Her faith was strong, and she loved her church greatly.  She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband N. J. Tramell, her brother Monroe Petrey, her sister-in-law Betty Petrey and her nephew Aaron Petrey.

She is survived by her daughter Tammie Tramell of Middlesboro, KY, her son Terry Tramell of Ocala, FL, her grandson Jake Tramell of Corbin, KY, her brothers Eugene Petrey of Caryville, TN and Orville Petrey of Clairfield, TN, and her sister Wanda Taylor of Clairfield, TN as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, additional relatives and friends.

Also left to grieve are her church family members who have prayed for her tirelessly bringing her through many health problems. She loved them all dearly.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at The Way of Holiness Church of God, Clairfield, TN.    Funeral services will be held at 8:00pm at The Way of Holiness Church of God, Clairfield, TN with Rev. Nathan Bennett officiating. Rev Orville Petrey speaking and the Obituary will be read by Walter Washam.  Music will be provided by Boyd Taylor, Andrea Washam and The Way of Holiness Church of God Choir.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 15th at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.  Rev Nathan Bennett will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Davis, Randall Partin, Boyd Taylor, Walter Washam, Anthony Petrey and Neil Sweat.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Mike Moore.

Cawood Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. The Family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made at Cawood Funeral Home.
