Matthew Polly

Matthew Polly, age 70 of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022. He was born June 11, 1952, the son of the late Sam Polly and Nancy (Moore) Polly Hall.

He retired from The Waste Connections after several years of service. Matthew loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He also had a great love for the outdoors especially on Friday nights to watch Bell County Football games. He was a great man and loved by many. He will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Ruth Polly Barbu and Mary Polly Edwards; two brothers-in-law, John Barbu and Norris Edwards. Niece, Rebecca Polly Brock and sister-in-law,Mary Brooks Polly.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan Polly and Malinda Polly. His Grandchildren, Braelyn Polly and Braeson Baldwin; brothers, Jimmy Polly, Leonard Polly, William Polly, Charles Polly and Jerry Polly. Sisters, Bertha Polly Twiggs, Norma Polly Brooks and Betty Polly Ealy.

The family of Matthew Polly will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Blackmont Baptist Church in Blackmont, KY. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Howard officiating.  Music will be provided by the Blackmont Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside services will immediately follow in the Alva Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Blackstar, KY. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
