Marilyn Billingsley

Marilyn Sue "Susie" Billingsley, age 74, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Monday August 9, 2021 at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital in Middlesboro, KY.

"Susie" as she was known to family and friends, was born on April 8, 1947, she was the only child of the late Henry and Elsie (Ely) Billingsley.

She lived in Middlesboro all of her life, residing mostly in the home that her father built.  In the past few years, she had been a resident of Tri-State Health & Rehab in Harrogate, Tennessee.

She was a graduate of Middlesboro High School class of 1965.  She had a passion for art, crafts and painting.  She also loved to travel with her parents.

Having been taught from a young age by her "Aunt Janet" Matthews, Susie was an accomplished pianist and organist, and in later years, enjoyed playing piano as regular entertainment for the residents of Tri-State Health and Rehab where she resided.

Susie is survived by her Aunt Janet Matthews as well as a host of cousins, second cousins and friends.

Funeral service for Marilyn S. Billingsley will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, at First Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY.

A private graveside service for the family will immediately follow in the Hurst Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY.
