Margaret Owens

Margaret Violet Owens, age 79, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Corbin Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born November 23, 1943, in Middlesboro, KY, to the late Arville Thomas Miracle and Lola Mae Robbins.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Cefus Owens; son, Daniel Owens; and brothers, Harvey Miracle, Ernest Miracle, and Leonard Casper Miracle.

Left to cherish Margaret’s memory are the following members of her family:  children, Dewey (Jennifer) Owens of Middlesboro, KY, Margaret (Ricky) Huff of Homer, MI; grandchildren, David Owens, Lola Jean Owens-Powaga, and Jimmy Compton; great-grandchildren, Jayson Owens, Kobey Owens, Alyssa Owens, and Jordyn Herzog; sister, Ruby Jean Ratajczak; special sister-in-law, Mary Miracle; and special niece, Brenda Allen, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, the ladies group at Dunlap Baptist Church and friends.

The family of Margaret Owens will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Dale Jones officiating. Music will be provided by Nicole Mike.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
