Margaret Ann Maiden, 80 years old, passed away on , Friday, January 7, 2022 peacefully in her home in Alpharetta GA, surrounded by her loved ones.
She will be remembered for her strength, charm, her sassy personality and unmeasurable beauty. She was the most precious mother to all her children and loved them unconditionally.
They will cherish so many memories but the way she would always say “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck” or her singing You Are My Sunshine before bed, will be memories that will be missed the most.
Margaret treasured her role as nana. Her love will continue to live on in each of her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and the rest of her family and friends.
She was a longtime resident of Middlesboro KY before she moved to Alpharetta GA in 2013. She was born April 17, 1941, in Frakes, KY, to James “Jim” Murray and Polly Lambdin Murray.
Margaret was preceded in her death by her parents, late husbands, James Vernon Maiden, and Carroll Helton; brothers, Cillis Murray, Dewey Murray, Edward Murray and Raymond Murray; sisters, Gladys Forth, Deanna Hutchins, Jessie Willis, Ruthie Murray, Clarice Tipton and Beatrice Partin.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Penny (Larry) Cantrell, Greg Maiden, Sherry (Curtis) Knuckles, and Christie Helton (Vijay) Alagarraj
Grandchildren, Marissa Cantrell, Nick Cantrell, Kaitlin (Nick) Maiden, Anthony (Lauren) Maiden, Cameron (Kayla) Rancher, and Amara Alagarraj
Great- Grandchildren, Margot Willis, Asher Maiden and Daisy Maiden
Her sweet sister, June Murray Hatfield, a host of nieces and nephews, and two very special friends who helped care for her and loved her dearly, Pam Frady, and Lorene Pettaway.
The family of Margaret Ann Maiden will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.
Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Herman Denny, Jr., and Mr. Curt Knuckles presiding. Music will be provided by the Denny Family.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY. Pallbearers will be her son-in-law, Curtis Knuckles, son-in-law, Vijay Alagarraj, and her grandsons, Cameron Rancher, Nick Cantrell, Anthony Maiden and Nick Willis.
