Lorene Hill

Pineville, KY - Lorene Hill, age 78, of Pineville, Kentucky passed away peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Mountainview Nursing Home. She was born June 22, 1941 in Pineville, Kentucky. She was a master of southern cuisine, devout worker, beloved mother and friend, with a love for adventure. She served as the Manager of the Methodist Mountain Mission where she worked for 41 years, alongside her best friend, Mary Sinkhorn. A daughter of the late James and Mattie Collins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children: Hubert Hill.

She is survived by: Children: Joe (Sue) Hill of Knoxville, TN., Charles Hill of Middlesboro, KY., Ruth Slusher of Corryton, TN; Grandchildren: Joseph Hill, Sabrina (Taylor) Pinkston, Blaine (Victoria) Hill, Katelin Slusher, Gage Hill, Savanna Hill, and Faith Hill; Great Grandchildren: Brennon Hill, Cole Hill and Easton Hill.

Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held for immediate family members at the Hurst Cemetery with Rev. Dale Turner presiding.
