Lemuel Johnson

Charles Lemuel Johnson age 82, born in Alva, Kentucky to Byrda Jane Tipton and Lee Finley Johnson on March 26, 1940.  Entered into eternal life in the arms of Our Lord, July 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Lem leaves behind his devoted wife of 36 years, Christine (Kherkher) Johnson, his daughter, Greta ( Julie) Johnson, his brother Wendell (Eula) Johnson, sister Volena( and the late Nick) Dorazio and sister Sylvia (Johnson) Runyon.  He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his daughter Lisa (Roak) Hastings, brother Lee Samuel Johnson, brother Ralph Douglas Johnson and sister Faye ( Johnson) Hunley and her husband Britt Lee Hunley.

Lem was a wonderful man, devoted to his wife and family. A veteran of the United States Army and an avid outdoorsman, Lem always lit up the room! Quick with a smile and even quicker with a joke, he was bigger than life and he will be missed beyond measure. Lem was a retired Supervisor for General Motors Co.

The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until  12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Cawood Funeral Home in Middlesboro, KY with funeral service immediately following, Ronnie Oplinger presiding.  Graveside services will immediately follow at Saylor Cemetery, Pathfork, KY. with full Military Honors.
