Larry Wayne Yeary

Larry Wayne Yeary, age 74, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Harrogate, Tennessee after a long battle with dementia. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late James Franklin and Cleo Johnson Yeary and raised in Ewing, Virginia.

He graduated from Middlesboro High School in 1968. In 1969, Larry proudly joined the United States Air Force to serve his country. 

Larry was a devout Christian who accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and helped both of his daughters profess their own faith as well. He loved to be outside working in his garden, tending to his yard, and going fishing with family members. More than all, he was avidly devoted to his family. He would often enjoy picnics with his wife and daughters on Sunday after church, and loved to make his grandchildren smile and laugh with endless rides on the lawn mower. 

Those that knew Larry best can attest to his love for watching his daughters play softball. He dedicated himself to attending every practice and every game that he possibly could.  He would have done the same for his grandchildren if he were able to. Larry’s friends and family knew him as a selfless person, always willing to lend a hand or help out where help was needed. 

Larry is survived by Andrea Yeary, his wife of 44 years; daughter, Rebecca Holbrook and her husband Zach, of Pflugerville Texas; daughter, Rachel Wrzuszczak and her husband Keith, of Taylor Texas; and grandchildren, Amelia and Easton Holbrook, and Emmalyn and Braxton Wrzuszczak. He is also survived by his brother, Steve Yeary of Hamilton, Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. 

The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at their home in Middlesboro.
