Julie Elaine Marsee, age 53, of Middlesboro, KY, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 20, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1971, in Middlesboro, KY to Effie Elaine Branham and the late Tony D. Marsee.
Julie enjoyed many creative endeavors that filled her life with beauty. She loved spending time writing or drawing, listening to music-which she often sang along with or danced to-and cooking. She also took great pleasure in being a girly-girl. She delighted in trying out new hair and makeup styles. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother. Her grandbabies were a constant source of joy in her life.
In addition to her father, Julie was preceded in death by her stepmother, Glenda Marsee Carmack.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Eric (Angeli) Macey, Amanda Carroll, Alicea Underwood, and Amber Macey; grandchildren, Malachi Gulley, Jeremiah Macey, Christian Macey, McKinley Macey, Raiden Macey, Mateo Macey, Asher Marsee, Ava Underwood, Braxton Underwood, Chloe Prater, Jayla Sanchez, and Edalina Espinosa; mother, Effie Elaine Branham; siblings Gary Sollars, Jessica (Chris) Ramsey, Jim Marsee, Jennifer (Jerry) Poppe, Mike Anderson, Scott Marsee, and Monica Sollars as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family of Julie Elaine Marsee will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Roger Cox presiding.
At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will follow in procession to Marsee Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held. Pallbearers will be Eric Macey, Derrick Wilder, Mike Anderson, Jerry Poppe, Freddie Anderson, and Taylor Hardin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
