Joyce Whitehead

Joyce Lee Whitehead, 69, of Middlesboro, passed away, Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

She was born March 7, 1951 in Garmeda, KY, the daughter of the late Leonard and Hazel Hill Warwick.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Felix Whitehead, 3 Brothers: Tommie Warwick, James Warwick and Hubert Warwick.  A sister in law: Darlene Warwick.  She is survived by the following members of her family:

2 Daughters: Christina (Darwin) Veach and Melissa (David) Goodman

Grandchildren: Shane Evans, Jonathan (Tonya) Dixon, Lee (Kaitlin) Evans and Tyler Veach.

6 Great Grandchildren.

Brothers: Lloyd “Melt” Warwick of Michigan, Howard (Mary) Warwick of Middlesboro, KY; Donnie Warwick of Middlesboro, KY; Danny (Trisha) Warwick of Stoney Fork, KY; Terry Warwick of Harrogate, TN and Phil (Nancy) Warwick of Harrogate, TN

Sisters: Betty (James) Sturdivant of Edgewood, KY; Linda Barnett of Dayton, OH and Deborah (Michael) Thomas of Harrogate, TN.

Sisters in law: Alberta Warwick of Middlesboro, KY and Sherri Warwick of Columbia, TN

And a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her Dairy Queen Family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kojak Graves presiding.  Interment will follow in the Hurst Cemetery in Middlesboro, KY.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Cawood Funeral Home.
