Joyce Ann Partin

Joyce Ann Partin, age 71, of Rose Hill, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born July 17, 1953, the daughter of the late William Boyd Partin and Polly Rachel Partin. 

She was a beloved figure, cherished not only for her sweet spirit but also for the warmth and joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Joyce had an unwavering passion for cooking, filling her home with delightful aromas and tasty meals that nourished both body and soul. Her culinary talent was matched only by her dedication to nurturing her garden, where she lovingly tended to her flowers, bringing life and color to her surroundings. A lover of the color pink, she infused this shade of joy into her life and the lives of others, making spaces not just beautiful but inviting.

Her faith and love for music shone brightly as she sang in her church, sharing her voice as a testament to her devotion and belief. The power of her song resonated deeply within her community, uplifting spirits, and fostering connections among family and friends.

Joyce's legacy is marked by her unwavering commitment to her family, who were the cornerstone of her existence. She leaves behind a loving memory that will forever be etched in their hearts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronnie Mac Partin.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Ronnie Daniel (Angela) Partin, and Jessy Harold Partin; daughter, Shelly Partin (James) Frazier; brothers, Jimmy (Faye) Partin, John Wesley (Jean) Partin, and Junior (Gracie) Partin; grandchildren, Daniel Ryan Partin, Hailey Middleton, Jessica Middleton, Sean Harold Partin, Charlie Frazier, and Jessy Clay Partin; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

As we remember Joyce Ann Partin, we celebrate a woman whose life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and countless cherished moments. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.

The family of Joyce Ann Partin will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m.

At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to John A. Partin Cemetery, Frakes, KY, where graveside services will be held. Pallbearers will be Ryan Partin, Matthew Partin, William Partin, Sean Harold Partin, Colton Partin, and Christopher Dalton Partin.
