Joseph Norris Earle, age 80, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, made Heaven his eternal home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Joseph was born on June 16, 1943, to James and Clara Earle. In previous years, he was a member of Millers Chapel Church and most recently Binghamtown Baptist Church.
Joe was blessed with the talent of music, which he used in his time on earth, to serve his Lord and Savior. He spent years playing bass with The Heavenly Aires, The Millers Chapel Singers and The Binghamtown Trio in countless churches.
Joe provided for his family for over 47 years in the trade of gunsmithing. Starting from a room in his own home, and shortly graduating to a store front, his business, Earle Gun Shop made its permanent home on 19th Street in Middlesboro, KY. He was the best around. His shop was open 6 days a week, but never on Sundays.
Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, and mother of his children, Doris LindaBelle Loop Earle; parents, James Roy Earle and Clara Floella Smith Earle; brothers, Roy, Clyde and Steve Earle; sisters, Sarah Conaster, Judy Collins, and Joyce Blakemore; and great-granddaughter, Cody Lynn Evans.
Those left to follow in his footsteps are: son, Bruce Earle; daughter, Anita Earle Gardner and husband, Dennis; wife of 13 years, Betty Parks Earle; grandchildren, Misti Earle (James) McGrath, Crystal Earle, Amanda Earle (Shandall) Beeler, and Christopher Earle; great-grandchildren, Emilee McGrath, Allison McGrath, Madison Beeler, Riley Beeler, Katelyn Beeler and Raelyn Osban; step-sons, Robbie (Jill) Parks, Chris (Rebecca) Parks, and Randy (Marlene) Parks, who bring a host of beautiful step-grandchildren; brother, Troy (Virginia) Earle; special sisters-in-law, Phyllis Earle, Eva Earle and Patsy Loop; special aunts, Betty Asher and Geraldine Earle, as well as many, many other family and friends.
The family of Joseph Norris Earle will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Bob Terry Family, who Joe loved so much, presiding. At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Oakview Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY, where graveside services will be held.
Pallbearers will be members of the family: Christopher Earle, Dennis Gardner, James McGrath, Shandall Beeler, Greg Earle, and Daniel Earle.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Earle, Randol Collins, Jerry Collins, Tony Hopper, Jimmy Hopper, Robbie Parks, and Chris Parks.
