Joann Gulley Pace, age 81, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at her home with her family by her side.
Joann was born on August 9, 1938.
She graduated from Middlesboro High School, and was a lifelong member of East Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
In addition to being an avid Tennessee Vols fan, Joann loved animals, and she loved people. She never met a stranger. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was always willing to give or lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Joann was a true "Angel" on earth.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frazier and Viola Gulley, her son Charles Matthew ("Matt") Daniels, and brothers Frazier Gulley, Jr. , Jack Gulley and Gene Gulley.
She is survived by her husband, James "Bud" Pace, and children Karen Daniels-Wilson and husband Tom, Mark Daniels, John Daniels and wife Sandy, daughter-in-law Rochelle Woody-Daniels, and sister-in-law Inez Wilson and husband James.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Matthew Daniels, Patrick Daniels and wife Kendall, Allison Kreipe and husband Daniel, December ("Cemi") Woody, Tori Leigh Lovett, and great grand-daughter Annalise Kreipe, as well as a host of other relatives and friends, including nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A private graveside service will be held at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with family residing.
