Jessie Bean

Jessie Bean, age 100, of Middlesboro, KY passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 peacefully at his home. He was born March 16, 1919, son of the late Lonnie Bean and Noami Beeler Bean. He was a member of the Miller’s Chapel Baptist Church and he loved the Tazewell Speedway, Bell County Bingo and Cumberland gap High School Basketball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Clara Goins Bean; Children, Bobby Bean, Art Bean and Billy Bean; one sister; four brothers; Grandchild, Brandy Bean Hammons; Great-Great Grandchild, Paul Turner; and his best companion, Midnight.

He is survived by the following family members: Son, Danny Bean; Daughters, Glenda Rains and Trula Davis; Special Granddaughter who helped with his caregiving, Dee Dee Bean; twenty Grandchildren; fifty-three Great Grandchildren; seventeen Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m., all at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY. Rev. Bob Terry and Travis Thompson will be presiding. Music will be provided by the Terry Family and the Miller’s Chapel Baptist Church singers. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Interment will be Friday, April 12, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Clawson Cemetery in Speedwell, TN.
