Jerry Wayne Partin

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jerry Wayne Partin, age 71, of Chenoa, KY.  Jerry went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2023.  He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born April 16, 1952, in Chenoa, KY, the son of the late Henry Clay Partin and Beatrice Overton Partin. 

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 50 years, Phanya.  He was also a loving father to his two daughters, Caralyn and Mary Ann.

Jerry honorably served his country as Sgt. First Class in the United States Army for 21 years.  In his free time, he loved to read but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Partin, Thomas Partin, Earl Partin, Ronnie Partin, and Michael Partin.  

He is survived by his beloved wife, Phanya Partin; daughters, Caralyn Partin, and Mary Ann (Greg) Lay; brother, Larry Partin; sister, Georgia Partin, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

The family of Jerry Wayne Partin will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Tim Sharp presiding. 

At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to the John A. Partin Cemetery in Frakes, KY, where graveside services will be held.

Pallbearers will be Greg Lay, Keith Bailey, Tyler Partin, Larry Partin, Josh Partin, and Colton Partin.
