Jeffrey Crumley

Jeffrey Hugh Crumley, age 60, of New Tazewell, TN and formerly of Ewing, VA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Covenant Health Hospital in Tazewell, TN. He was born September 13,1958 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Hugh and Rozetta Crumley.

He loved farming and being outdoors, especially spending time with his family and friends at the lake. He could operate any kind of heavy equipment and could repair anything that was broken. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Leamon and Maggie Crumley and Elmer and Julia McClung.

Jeff is survived by his loving family: children, Jennifer Schaeffer and husband Duker, and David Hugh Crumley, both of Ewing, VA; sisters, Tresa Kenkel and husband Rus of Marietta, GA, and Betty Brown and husband Jerry of Ewing, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, work buddies, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home chapel in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Earl Crumley officiating. Music will be provided by Nicole Mike. Pallbearers will be Dennis York, James Schaeffer, Byron West, Bobby Cole, David Gibbs, Tim Moore and Roy McVay. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy James. Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Ewing, VA.
