James Wilson

Harrogate

Mr. James M. “Jim” Wilson of Harrogate, Tennessee was called to be with God on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 70 as a result of complications from Covid-19. He was born on November 30, 1950 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Middlesboro, Kentucky.

Jim was a graduate of Middleboro High School, Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tennessee, and Sanford School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a retired Pharmacist from Rite Aid in Bean Station, Tennessee and worked as a relief Pharmacist for Crater City Pharmacy in Middlesboro, Kentucky. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Jack Morton Wilson and Ruth Mildred Skelton Wilson; brother Robert Curtis Wilson; and sister-in-law, Sherry San Wilson.

Survivors include his sister, Catherine J. “Cathy” Wilson of Middlesboro, Kentucky and nephew, Adam C. Wilson (Ashley) of Harrogate, Tennessee. Great nieces and nephews, Chelsea Grace Wilson of Harrogate, Tennessee; Olivia San Marie Wilson of Middlesboro, Kentucky; Jakob Allen Smith of Harrogate, Tennessee; Shaun Kade Smith of Harrogate, Tennessee; and Madison Mullins of Speedwell, Tennessee.  Special friend, Toby Hall of New Tazewell, Tennessee. Other survivors include: Nancy Deacon Lawrence (Gary) of Gainesville, Georgia; Van Deacon (B’ene) of Cleveland, Tennessee; J.W. Wilson (Ledley) of Georgetown, Kentucky; Arthur Wilson (Sherry); Emily Wilson Miller (Mike); Lynn Miller McCarty (Joe); Brenda Skelton Pierce (Jim); Phyllis Skelton Ioos (Richard); all of Louisville, Kentucky.

Special thanks to all of the Doctors and Nurses at Claiborne Medical Center, Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, Amedisys Home Health of Harrogate, and Suncrest Hospice of New Tazewell. Special thanks to the crews at Claiborne EMS and Claiborne 911. We would also like to give special thanks for the many prayers, cards, and calls for Jim.

Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19, a private family funeral has been planned.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Shiloh Church of Middlesboro, Kentucky.
