James Brooks

James Clifford "Jed" Brooks, 69, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Saturday, January 7, at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Pineville, KY.

He was born July 8, 1952 in Pineville, KY, the son of the late Limbuel and Daisy Sampson Brooks.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Brooks; sisters, Rose Brooks, Ethel Brooks and Grace Brooks.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews: Glenn Brooks, Sr., Rufus (Kathy) Brooks, Steven Brooks and Tina (Mike) Miracle.

Great nieces and nephews: Glenn (Monica) Brooks, Jr., Colton and Kathy Miracle, Dalton Miracle and Colby Miracle.

Great-great nephews: Brandon Brooks, Braden Brooks

Great-great niece: Macy Miracle.

And a host of other cousins and friends.

At his request, he was cremated by the Cawood Funeral Home.  The family will hold private interment services at a later date.
