Hiram Greene

Hiram (Harm) Greene, age 75, of Middlesboro, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 22, 2022. He was born February 12, 1947, to the late Hiram Greene and Mary Greene of Pineville, Kentucky.

Hiram believed in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and gained pleasure in spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He had a heart of gold and always put others before himself.

Hiram was a veteran of the United States Army. During this time, he saw combat in the Vietnam War; earning a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and many others for his admirable service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Greene; brothers, Weaver Greene, Thurman Greene and Billy Greene; sisters, Wilma Hendrickson, Sarah Ellen Wilder, Gertrude Miracle and Oppy Smith.

Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 52 years, Wilma Sue (Locke) Greene; daughter, Michelle Heck and (Travis Gage) of Middlesboro, Kentucky; granddaughters, Susan (Dustin) Johnson of Pineville, Kentucky and Amber (Patrick) Knuckles of Union, Kentucky; grandsons, Corey Smith and Caleb (Candice) Heck, both of Middlesboro, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Trenton Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Harper Knuckles, Hudson Knuckles, Kolson Heck and Karter Heck; brother, David (Sandra) Greene of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; sister, Judy Greene of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; special friends close to his heart, Billie Blankenship, Travis Gage and nephew, Carl Miracle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Hiram (Harm) Greene will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, October 28, 2022, at West Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at West Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Robbins presiding.

Pallbearers will be Travis Gage, Corey Smith, Caleb Heck, Trenton Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Knuckles and Ethan Smith.

Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral service at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Kentucky with full military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
