Hazel "Jo" Bryant

Hazel "Jo" Bryant, age 88, of Speedwell, TN, entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.  She was born on January 25, 1937, to the late Ange Hatfield Kirby and Cal Hatfield.  

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her beloved Pop, Freeman Kirby; sisters, Shirley Fleemon and Jean Webb; and brother, Edward Hatfield.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Clyde Bryant; daughter, Phyllis (David) Gibson of Cumberland Gap, TN; sons Michael (Robin) Russell of Cumberland Gap, TN and Shannon Bryant of Millington, TN; sons by heart, David Fleemon and Billy Fleemon, both of Middlesboro, KY; grandchildren, Adam (Koriella) Gibson, Whitney (Micah) Davis, Blaine Gibson, Dixie (Kyle) Loftis, Syrenna (Dylan) Russell, and Will Russell; great-grandchildren, Sawyer James Davis, Hayze Alexander Gibson, Gloria Danielle Loftis, Grace Elizabeth Loftis, and Christopher Henry Loftis; honorary grandchildren, Jasmine LaBounty Rivers and Taylor Carmack; and a very special friend, Cathy Phipps as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family of Jo Bryant will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Travis Dunn presiding.  Music will be provided by Judy Fultz and Wayland Fultz.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Mountainview Cemetery, Harrogate, TN.
