Gladys Martin

Gladys Venie (Partin) Martin. Dob: May 9, 1940 - October 15, 2021.  God called another one of his children home on Friday October 15th 2021.  Gladys Venie Martin was 81 of Tazewell, TN but had lived most of her adult life in Middlesboro, KY and was currently residing at Tri-state Manor in Harrogate TN. She was the daughter of the late James Partin and Lilly Daniels and was born in Little Clear Creek Pineville,KY.

Gladys was preceeded in death by her husband Richard Martin, her parents James Partin and Lilly Daniels, her siblings James and Avery Partin, Irene Smiddy, Polly Vaughn and a very special grandson that she held dearly to her heart Claude Elvis Dixon II.  Little Elvis thought the world of his granny and they are once again reunited in the kingdom of heaven.

Gladys is survived by her only living sibling Brenda Seivers, her children Timothy W. Partin, Michael A. Partin, Roy L. Partin and her only daughter Tammy M. Partin, her grandchildren Amanda A. Thomas, Timothy A. Partin, Heather A.M. Cobb, Leslie B. Hall, John M. Partin, Samantha H. Partin, Amber S. Dixon and Sydney Jo Partin, and her Great Grandchildren Treyvone Watkins, Atavis Flanary, Thalia Partin and Taraji Brooks, Trinity, Lilly and Winter Partin, Aubree, Maci, Jerhett and Dan Cobb, Levi Hall, Henry and Zaina Partin, Trinity Perry, CJ Kyle, Xavier Whitehead, Harmony Blakely, and Kyson Wilson.  And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday Oct. 22 at the Cawood Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday Oct. 23 at the Çawood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gibson presiding.  Interment will follow in the Gìbson Family Cemetery at Happy Hollow in Little Clear Creek.
