George Reed, Jr.

George Reed, Jr., age 92, of Pruden, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, peacefully at his home. He was born on May 29, 1927, the son of the late George Reed, Sr. and Elizabeth Bryant Reed. He was a member of the Fonde Church of God Mountain Assembly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his son, Dale Reed; five sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joyce Reed; sons, Kyle (Bobbie) Reed and Enos Reed; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his extended church family and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Lyke and Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by the Fonde Church of God Mountain Assembly Choir. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, October 14, 2019, at the Fonde Church of God Mountain Assembly Cemetery in Fonde, KY.
