Fred Feller

Fred Henry Feller, age 84, of Speedwell, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was born October 8, 1938, the son of the late John Henry Feller and Marie Yeary Feller.

Fred was a member of Carr’s Chapel Baptist Church.  He served in the United States Navy for four years.  Fred loved his family, church and his country above all.  He never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, JT Feller, Hubert and Mary Bailey, Bill and Margaret Wampler, JD and Clara Ellison, Hazel Chadwell, Willie McKnight, Joann Barnes, and Hubert Feller.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara (Denny) Feller; children, Freddie Feller and Kim McAfee; grandchildren, Joshua Ashwander, Dakota and Kaitlyn Harris and Kara Feller; great-grandchildren, Danny and Elijah Ashwander; and nieces and nephews that he loved as his own.

The family of Fred Henry Feller will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Bannister officiating.  Music will be provided by Dakota Harris.

Graveside services will immediately follow in the Wheeler Cemetery at Ewing, Virginia.  Pallbearers will be Joshua Ashwander, Doug Howard, Morgan Chadwell, Kevin Denny, Jake Johns, Rick Denny and Dakota Harris.
