Frank Lee Watlington Dalton, Sr. was born March 21, 1951, in Norton, VA. On March 23, 2021 Frank L. Watlington Dalton, Sr. was called home.
Affectionately known as “Floyd,” he was a devoted husband, father, brother, cousin & uncle. He openly expressed his genuine love to those around him through his gentle smile and kind words. He prided himself in being, “The” protector & defender of those he loved.
Following his education in John I Burton high school. General Electric was his workplace for 48 years as a Turbine Technician. He retired from AMTRAK in 2009.
Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting & traveling. Frank cherished his work in Egypt with his wife and friends. He also attended A.M.E Zion Baptist church for over 30 years.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother; Katharine Bandy Watlington and father; Floyd Dalton, his sister: Carolyn W. Hubbard. Brothers: Roy Watlington, Melvin Watlington, James Watlington, Bobby Watlington & Preston Watlington.
He leaves behind his wife Paula H. Watlington. His daughter Tracie L. Andrews; His son Frank L. Watlington Jr. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves his two sisters: Juanita Carter-Battle and Cherlaine W. Woods & a host of nieces, nephews, and Godsons followed by close relatives & friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announce when they become available.
