Faye Buckner

Faye Buckner, age 80, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Knoxville, TN.  She was born November 11, 1941, the daughter of the late John Mullins and Ollie McKeean.

Faye believed in the Baptist faith and attended Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro.  In December 2019, Faye rededicated her life at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington.  This was an extremely proud time for Faye, as her husband, Fred W. Buckner, Jr., her sons, Fred W. Buckner III and Jon Buckner; and her grandchildren, Tyler Buckner, Haven Buckner and Logan Buckner, were all baptized alongside of her.

In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her sisters, Marie, Connie, Irene and Mae; and her brothers, John Mullins, James Mullins and Ray Mullins.

She is survived by the following:

Fred W. (Shot) Buckner, Jr., her loving husband of 60 years

Fred W. Buckner, III, son

Charlotte Buckner, daughter-in-law

Haven Buckner and Alysa Buckner, granddaughters

The family of Faye Buckner will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend William Boyd Bingham, III presiding.

Graveside service for Faye Buckner will immediately follow the funeral service at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
