Ethel Charles

Ethel Walker Charles, 98, passed away December 20, 2019 in Lexington at her daughter’s home, Shirley Ann Charles Dye while under the care of Hospice. She was born in Flat Lick, (Knox County) Kentucky on July 22, 1921.

She was the daughter of Jeff Walker and Maud Smith Walker of Fourmile, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Charles of Fourmile Kentucky.

Sister, Ida Walker Morris (deceased), Pauline Walker Hendrickson (deceased), and Brother Herbert Renfro Walker (Deceased).

Survivors include her daughter Shirley Charles Dye and husband (Jimmy Dye) of Lexington, KY.

Grandson Loren Scott Dye and wife, Annabeth Jones Dye of Fourmile, Kentucky,

Grandaughter Tammie Dye Jenkins and husband Doug Jenkins of Parker, Texas.

Great Grandsons Jake and Josh Jenkins of Parker Texas and Great granddaughter Ashley Jenkins of Parker, Texas, with a host of Nieces and Nephews.

She worked for 23 years until she retired at the Pineville Community Hospital as a Switch Board Operator.

She was Member of Riverside Baptist Church, Fourmile, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Hendrickson Family Cemetery in Fourmile, Kentucky.
