Ernest Johnson, Sr.

Ernest “Ernie” Johnson Sr., age 86, formerly of Bell County passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021, surrounded by his devoted children. He was born on May 16, 1934.

He was the loving father of Mary Jane Tsujioka, Betty (Russ) Kinney and Ernest Jr. (Nora) Johnson. Ernie was the proud grandfather of Magan Watson, Zach Johnson, Jack Kinney and a cherished great-grandfather of Corbin, Nessa, and Julian. Fond uncle and friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his parents: William and Celesty Johnson.

Ernest proudly serviced his Country for 13 years in the United States Air Force. Ernie was an accomplished business owner of Ernie’s Septic Service, and he proudly served the community for over 51 years, his son, Ernie Jr., will continue to serve the community for years to come.

The family of Ernest Johnson will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro, KY.

Graveside service for Ernest Johnson will immediately follow in the Turner Cemetery at Colmar, Middlesboro, KY.
