Eloise Voris

Eloise Jean Voris, age 92, a resident of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at her home in Middlesboro.

She was born on July 25, 1929 to her parents, the late Ralph S. Voris, Sr. and Virginia Williams Voris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only brother, Ralph S. Voris, Jr. and sister-in-law, Nancy Sewell Voris.

Miss Voris was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful, long-time supporting member of the Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman University and later obtained her master’s degree from the University of Kentucky.

She was an educator for the Bell County School System for many years and left a positive influence on all of her students for years to come.

She is survived by a very special friend and caretaker, Neville Anne Barton and other special friend, Sheila Montgomery.

At Miss Voris’ request, she was buried at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky and all services were privately held with Rev. Kevin Turner presiding.
