Ella Robbins King, 79, of Williams Branch in Pineville, KY, went home to be with the Lord and her family on May 5, 2019. She was born June 28, 1939 in Pineville, KY, the daughter of the late James Oliver and Lealie Denny Robbins.
She was a retired teacher of over 35 years with the Bell County School System and a graduate of both Cumberland and Union Colleges. She was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel King Jr. Brothers: James Hobart Robbins (infant), Fred Robbins, Don Robbins, John Thomas Robbins, and Paul Robbins. Sisters: Martha Ellen Greene, Juanita Crabtree, Kacenia Hoskins, and Evelyn Miller.
She is survived by the following members of her family:
Sons: Samuel King III and wife Pamela, Dwight Oliver King, Daughters: Karen Elizabeth Barnett and husband Mike, and Cynthia Lee King
Sister in-laws: Betty Robbins, Nona Wagner, Pauline Bowman, and Opal King.
Brother in-law: Grant Hoskins
She has 3 Grandchildren that she adored: Meagan Nicole King, Mattia Sherrella King, and Samantha Jo King. Along with a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and former students.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m., at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hardy Franks presiding. Music will be provided by members of the Mathel Pentecostal Church.
Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Kentucky for the graveside services.
