Dewitt Evans

Dewitt C. Evans, 72, of Tazewell, TN passed away on Saturday March 9, 2019, at the Claiborne Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tazewell TN. He was born March 13, 1946, the son of the late Elam Lee and Mary Evans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lee Evans; brothers, William J. Evans and Elam Lee Evans Jr.; grandson, Robert Mitchell Lee Green and nephew, Joey C. Evans

He is survived by his daughters, Gwen (Roy) Cheek, Speedwell TN; Rhonda (James) Partin, Chenoa KY; Rachael (Jeff) Daugherty, Frakes KY; Melissa (Mitchell) Green, New Tazewell TN; one son Mitchell (Amanda) Evans, Tazewell TN and the mother of his children Sylvia Evans

Grandchildren, Alex Partin, Christopher Partin, Matthew Partin, Justin Daugherty, Samuel (Allyson) Daugherty, Michael Green, Savannah Green, Veronica Green, Alexis Evans and Dylan Evans

Great grandchildren, Claire Partin, Tucker Partin, Connor Partin, Levi Fuson, Maci Daugherty and Nolan Sturgell

Brothers, Shelt (Pearl) Evans, Garfield Evans; sisters Zella Maiden; Pauline (Tommy) Stewart; Sudie (Dolan) Baird and Adoline (Clay) Nantz

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. in the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Chumley and Rev. John Hatfield officiating. Music will be provided by Mitchell Evans, Melissa Green and Barbara Hatfield.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 in the Partin Family Cemetery at Chenoa, KY. Pallbearers will be Mr. Evans grandsons.
