Delena Sparks

Delena Sparks, age 63, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on May 11, 2019, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was born on March 18, 1956, the daughter of June Longworth Duncan and the late Mitchell Porter Duncan. She was a faithful Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed her church, even until she was unable to attend, she would faithfully follow the worship services and remained strong in her faith until her last days. She had devoted her life to her family, she was a loving, stay-at-home Mother until her children were grown. Then, she joined the Walmart team for 15 years with great pride.

In addition to her Father, she is preceded in death by her Brother, Garrion Duncan and her Nephew, Gary Dewayne Duncan.

She is survived by the following members of her family: her Mother, June Longworth Duncan; Husband, Roger Grant Sparks; Son, Roger Gregory Sparks; Daughter, Stacey Lynn Sparks; Grandchildren, Jalyn Nicole Winterberger, Connor William Winterberger and Kaedance Elise Sparks; Brother, Marion “Mic” (Sue) Duncan; special Niece, Haley (Robert) Wilmoth; special life-long friend, Kathy Christian and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, May 14, with the Funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m., with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III presiding, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Kentucky for the graveside services.
