Middlesboro

Dedrick “Moe” Martin, age 81, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.  He was born April 7, 1940, in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Daniel Allen Martin and Kate McCombs.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended church at the Thankful Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY.

After a long, well-lived life, he reached the point where “Moe” needed much care and assistance.  His special cousin and guardian angel, Rhonda Graster, gladly accepted the call.  Assisting her in this labor of love were his cousins, Bobbie Banks, Ierusha Martin and Robert Kelly.

Having lost his mother at the early age of four, in addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by two very special aunts that were essential in making him the man that he was, Aunt Louise Williams and Aunt Magnolia Farrow.

He is survived by the following family members:

His brothers, Daniel Allen Martin, Jr. and Robert J. (Lillian) Martin, both of Cleveland, OH

Uncle Charles (Ella) Martin of Northbrook, IL; Aunt Doris Harris of Chicago, IL; and Aunt Debbie McCombs of Middlesboro, KY

A special brother, Johnny Graster of Middlesboro, KY

As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, to many to mention.
