David May

David Keith May, age 61, of Harrogate, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  He was born February 6, 1960, the son of the late Ralph Elwood May and Sarah “Sally” Grace Haddix May Leffel.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended the Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN. He was an avid UT fan and a member of the KY Army National Guard.  He served in the Army, Delta 1 Company A 1/149th Infantry from August 1978 to August 1984.  He also served as a Middlesboro Police Officer Badge #541 for 6 years.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Leffel; brother, Ronald May; sister, Donna Kay Honeycutt; brother-in-law, Lynn Honeycutt; and niece, Heather Honeycutt.

He is survived by the following:

A Celebration of Life for David Keith May will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Indian Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN.  Reverend Steve Moyers will be officiating.
